Rationalism and logic and the relation between them

In the previous chapter we have discussed what is the rationalist thought and why it is needed for progress .Without logic how one can stand for his given idea. We also discussed that the idea without scientific proof is only a idea which have not base to be trustworthy. We see the persons in the society talking uselessly and boring why this happens? And why we don’t we take an interest in his talk and say it is meaningless. But there are persons whom we want to hear with due interest and they make the talk more interesting why it all? What is the meaningless talk? And what is the meaningful talk?

Meaningless talk

This  talking has no logic behind the given ideas by some person. If a person says that the tiger eat the grass then what your response be for that? If such talk is going on by someone then what you will say for that person? you may say that he is fool or ignorant about the reality or have no knowledge about the subject. On which base you declared him so? Not only you but who have the knowledge about the subject will reject his idea and reply that the tiger never eat grass and his food is meat.  From where you get this logic? May be you have experienced with the idea or seen some documentary which proves that the tiger eat meat only. But we know that wrong information may practice wrong in our experience. So necessity is there that which information we receive or perceive must be testified or there must be some sound logic behind this. A follower says his ‘Guru’ so called saint is very near to ‘god’. Some believe only for the sake that they are ignoring the truth or they may have such illogical thoughts same as the follower. What is the logic behind his thesis who says that the his ‘guru’ have near and dear links with ‘god’. The word god is the idea that is without logic. But lot of people in nightmares experience this idea and supposing it to be true. Should we accept this idea which cannot be demonstrated and be proved to true. There may be meaningless experience but have no basic truth. Lot of books have been written by the people having different nightmares .Even in different geographical area the people have their own different Gods. How one may say that his experience is true than the other? What type of logic he may provide? Simple that he has experienced! A experience which is not tested through the basics of science. What we should declare such a thought, nonsense? Yes it is nonsense the idea of a fool and an individual experience which cannot be practice by others.

Meaningful Talk

The question rises that then what will be the meaningful talk? Is it mean that the person what speaks have some meaning. Here we should not take it easy that every talk have meaning. We may say that the talk may have wrong or right meaning. The reason is that what should we take the real sense of Meaningful talk? Meaningful talk has some logic on which we give our consent to agree. What it depends upon the capacity of our brain that how for the speech or talk have some meaningful content. When the talk has some meaningful content then we learn something and some important logical effect we receive and it shall something to advance our growth and development. From the very origin of human species the whole mental growth depended upon logical though. What talk have some meaningful content the man advanced that content and make it more and more meaningful. At that time his food and safety was urgent need for him. So for his food he searched and struggled everyday and in early stage he was non vegetarian but with development of his logic behavior more and more he changed his food according his ease. And now he is both vege or non vege. Now he takes food according his choice and even his some illogical beliefs forbade him to be non vege that may be related to his belief in some religion. But on the other side non vege food is accepted better equipped in quality. Meaningful talk is always qualitative and helps in the advancement of qualitative life. For example a person suggests you that he received enough money by worshiping some god and ask you to do the same, will you do? If you did what is the reason and logic behind this action. Might this suggestion be applicable for all? No, because it was not a meaningful suggestion, a logical person shall never belief on this silly suggestion. But even then lot of people do this, Why? They are confined in their illogical belief and did not dare to come out   of them. They think that if they try to come out then some unknown godly power shall punish them. They are fully engulfed by this illogical thought and are in practice from their childhood. Due to long practice of illogical thought make the person so hard in habit leaving it become to heavy to leave.

Every person tries to provide logic to his talk

Every person provides his logic for his talk to be true. What how long it is true? How we should analysis this to be true or false? Truth is truth and it prevails everywhere and has same effect in results. What the problem is to reach it. Some never tries to search it but follow as others do. This trend is very harmful for our society and put obstacles in its development. This weakness is badly used by others who want to mold the society for their personal or sectarian interests. It is the rationalist approach to go deep in analysis of the truth. We may say it a fact finding approach. Listening the whole talk one should believe that he said everything truth. We must dare to put it on fact finding formula. We know that the logic provided by the speaker may be base on some illogical examples. So through fact finding formula we may analysis all in our mind to know the truth. Sigmund Freud provided his theory to this approach calling it ‘Psycho analysis. What is psychoanalysis, it is fact finding theory to know the brain of others and reaching the truth. We always make some thoughts in our mind through biological process of the brain. This struggle of thoughts helps us to watch everything critically and skeptically. Being skeptic helps us to go deeply in finding the truth. The followers have habit to accept everything what his favorite speaker says. They accept all as a truth without questioning. 

Rationalist Factor and Logic

Rationalist approach alerts us and guides us to adopt right ideas and leave the false. It is the quality of our brain that in its continuing process of growth it adapts the right and leaves the wrong thought. Rationalism triggers our brain for search of right ideas. This is a natural process to have the lot of changing in our brain from childhood to be adult. When the person becomes more and more logical then we call him mature. Why an emotional person is called Immature? It is  due to his illogical behave. In anger he does such an action which he cannot do when he is in balance of behave, Why? It is clear that in logic he knows the dangers of his action but when in frenzy he is unaware of the results. Rationalist approach rectifies our logic to be more and more correct. When a scientist gives his logic on the basis of his practical work and experiment then we should agree that his logic is last one. Some given the idea that Sun revolves around the world. It was a very new idea when it was given. At that time people were not ready to agree that the Earth is revolving. They were of the view that Earth was static. If the land moves then why they do not fall.  Newton’s gravitational law found very later to this idea. All though ‘The Bible’ adopted this idea and was stuck on this centuries. It was true that the Earth was revolving but It was not true it the center for other planets or even Sun. But the running idea was refined again and now astronomy exposed all the truth and people not only have faith but agree with the truth. So idea and logic are closely knitted and combing both we may find some meaning. Rationalism is the method to refine logic and help us to near and dear to the reality of truth. Some are saying ‘god’ is truth and truth is ‘god’, but when we play with logic and add our rationalist approach then such an idea is easily rejected. Simply a thought without rationalist factor is only a thought or idea of an illusion.

Right idea takes the place of wrong idea

If all the human beings of are to stick on old ideas to which the logic rejects then where will be change in our society? Leaving human race we should watch other species who have adapted to the fixed traits and the live the same life. A bat lives in dark whole for centuries and still is in the same habit. The cow eats grass but not meat still doing the same. All the animals could not learn to make house for them for centuries. The weaver weaves the beautiful nest but the style is same for centuries. But the human race learnt lot of things by making new ideas and replacing the old with these new ideas which he thought is better than the old. All he did due the rapid growth of his mental status. The human brain has no limit to grow and development. This replacing of ideas with the new one took him on this stage and made him the strongest specie of this world. So it is better to learn the real difference of human machine and machine of other species. If we are habituated with old rejected concepts, old irrelevant ideas then how our race shall continue the process to refine its quality for the future set ups? The question is clear that the blind follower should never pay much in human growth. It is the rationalist who is better than a blind follower for human growth. He is always in search of new ideas and test them and applies again and again with all scientific methods.
